With Play Magnus you can play chess against Norwegian world chess champion Magnus Carlsen at different ages, starting as young as age 5, on your smartphone. By turning your phone into a chess game, Play Magnus helps bringing chess to more people around the world with a focus on youth.

The company is also behind the app “Magnus Trainer”, an app with over 180 different fun lessons to help you get better at chess, and the latest addition to the Magnus Magnus’ Kingdom, a chess adventure game for children.

Play Magnus was founded by Kate Murphy, a Canadian woman, living in Norway, and an entrepreneur at heart who founded her first company when she was only 12 years old.
