09 Jun Pikkpack: IKEA-style, Low-Impact DIY Shoes
Founder: Sara Gulyas
Revolutionising the way we buy our shoes, Pikkpack is reducing the impact we are having on the environment through all aspects of the production process. Every shoe is hand made from start to finish and care is ensured to reduce material waste. The average shoe consits of up to 11 different materials, Pikkpack has 3, the rubber sole, the leather top and the shoelaces, and as these shoes are DIY they are compact enough to be shipped in an envelop, reducing the materials needed for packaging. Currently available in 3 different colours, this shoe is a flexible, long-lasting with a lightweight airy feel and kickass design.
This is a DIY shoe designed for creative and passionate people who love to take matters in their own hands.
Why we love Pikkpack: The company offers a whole new take on design and DIY – Pikkpack starts out as a flat piece of leather that you can transform into a piece of 3D clothing. We’re sure customers appreciate their shoes even more as they build it themselves!
