Buy Me Once: Love (and Shop) Things that Last

Buy Me Once: Love (and Shop) Things that Last

Founder: Tara Button

An online platform that offers products from socks to cooking utensils, their main focus: only selling quality items that last a lifetime. That’s right Tara Button, the founder of Buy Me Once has created an online store where you can go to buy items that are built to last. With the vision of offering products that not only last longer but also only supplying items that have been manufactured in an ethical and sustainable way, can be fixed easily or comes with a great guarantee, all this to ensure that you get the best possible value for your money, and at the same time being beautiful and attractive products.

Beyond this Buy Me Once actively searches out items that will not only stand the test of time but will stay classic and is a sought after item so that people are less tempted to throw their perfectly good things away just to keep up with current trends. In addition, BuyMeOnce challenges companies to create quality over quantity.

Tara’s book “A Life Less Throwaway” teaches how to live a BuyMeOnce lifestyle was published in 2018. Her first loves are creativity, writing and coming up with ideas. She fell into a job in advertising, coming up with ideas to sell more chocolate spread and sofas. While she enjoyed the creativity, she did not feel like she was bringing much good to the world; therefore, when the idea of BuyMeOnce
came to her and went viral, she jumped at the chance to make it her new profession.

BuyMeOnce should exist because not only would longer lasting products help the environment, but they would also save people money and stress. So despite having no experience, she started to
build BuyMeOnce in her spare time and then suddenly it went viral. She was able to quit her job in advertising and build a team to help her fulfil her mission to change the way we shop.
